Moved to Facebook

Let's be honest. I'm not the best at keeping up with a blog. And I am not an eloquent writer. I am moving all of my updates over to Facebook. It will make viewing my pictures easier since I can organize them into albums, rather than blog posts.

Please feel free to visit me there....

Much Needed Update

Still doing some cakes on the side, but not as much as I was... plus I'm not in classes anymore, so I don't have weekly cakes. I ended up getting a full time management position at a bakery and didn't have much time on the side for my own cakes. I'm no longer at the bakery, but now we are expecting our first child! That has taken over a lot of my concentration as I am preparing for that, but I try to do some on the side. I have a TON of pictures for the blog, so I won't overwhelm you with all of them. Just a few for now...

Today I will dedicate to showers... baby and bridal

Elephant themed baby shower

Soccer/Sports themed baby shower

 Diaper Shower Cupcakes

 Bridal Shower

 Bridal Shower Cake

 Jungle Themed Baby Shower Cupcakes

Breakfast at Tiffany's Bridal/Bachelorette

Wedding Cake!

Proud to announce my first wedding cake was a success!! But definitely very much stressful! Learned a lot and know a few things to do differently next time. I seriously almost had a panic attack on the way to deliver. It was so stressful I thought the cake was going to just completely fall over and go all over the car. Anyone have any less stressful ways and/or tips to traveling with an already stacked cake?

The wedding cake - Red Velvet w/ cream cheese filling! mmmm... my favorite
The grooms cake - Devil's Food - also delicious
The grooms cake was one of my favorites because I'm a Texas Tech Almuni. I was proud to make it. The groom was a former kicker for Tech

I had my first go around with cake balls! I had some left over Italian Creme cake so I decided to make cake balls with it. I also didn't have white chocolate at the time so I did dark chocolate. I still need some work to make the chocolate a little smoother. But the smoothness of the chocolate didn't deter the taste, and I seemed to get a good response to the taste! I may have even gotten a order out of it. Which is good since the bakery I worked for unfortunately closed. =(

My church, Urban Hills, had a golf tournament today called the Urban Open. So I decided to make some cookies. Yum! They were so much fun to make. I love decorating cookies. Well I love decorating anything, but cookies are one of my favorites.
